Indian Horror TV, boi

I didn't know Indian horror TV was really a thing but I saw this promoted to Amazon Prime and I ended up binging on the entire 7 episode season in 1 day! So this show is about a school where a bullied kid gets possessed by our main character's dead best friend where they had a terrible falling out before their graduation. As an adult, he returns to the school to see this little bullied kid whose personality has taken a really disturbing change. Even murderous.

Pretty intense and more scary than I anticipated. You bet your ass I am going to head straight into writing my recaps for this series since it is new and all. I'm aiming for the 1st post to go live around the end of September and for sure throughout October. I love this show that much.  Indian horror needs to get more recognized and say what you want about the evil corporation that is Amazon but it's super amazing they are giving a platform to Indian horror. Netflix too!

Speaking of Indian TV horror, I'm still in the process of trying to track down Woh, an Indian adaptation of Stephen King's It that came out in 1998. It is only on Youtube but there's no English subtitles available. I thought it would be so easy to download subtitles from a typical website like OpenSubtitles but this is a very niche show and I can't find any results!! Plus, it keeps getting muddied with results from various other movies with Woh in it (which of course translates to "it" so imagine how saturated results are). Makes it very difficult to find. Not even on the Internet Archive. The difficulty is only making me want to find it even more! I wish I knew Hindi 😓

There's links that claim it is available on ZEE5 but all lead to dead links. On the official website, it yielded no results yet again. It is, afterall, on their official Youtube channel. Ah, just another thing to search for.

I am currently in the process of testing out ideas how to get these subtitles so wish me luck! I've honestly heard good stuff about Woh.

Testing New Feature: Music Tags!

 Wouldn't it be cool to easily access the song that is played within the show you are watching? Well, yeah because I want to torture myself some more I decided to test this new feature out in my TV episode posts where I would link the song played at the chosen scene in the episode within the post.

I completely rewrote and added new, better quality looking pictures to Paper Girls' 1st Episode post. Only 3 songs were on there and I linked it to a youtube video along with a music emoji thingy to signify such. When I am done with all of my October posts, I'll work through all my existing posts to do the same. 

Better Quality Pictures Incoming!

 My phone tried to go for a swim a while back and it did not go well. I have a better higher quality phone...by Android standards anyway. Which means: higher quality pictures!

I have also tinkered with the camera settings to get even better HD pictures. I considered buying changable lenses for a phone camera but I think my phone will suffice for the time being.

You probably won't be able to notice right away because I write a lot of my posts weeks in advance. When I am done with all of my October posts, I will take a HUGE break from writing and focus that energy on replacing shitty pictures in past posts. 

To get a scope of where I am at right now, I am SO CLOSE to starting my October TV posts. The tv show, From, gets a permanent slot for Mondays and since I already completed 2 seasons worth, that's already 5 out of 31 posts completed for October already. I got about 10 more posts to finish up before I can start the remaining 26 posts for October. I'm totally not sweating it because on a good week I can get like 7-8 posts done.

It's the movie blog that I am honestly worried about. I am like sooo scared I won't be able to make my quota but HEY! I still got a little over 2 months to do it and if I grind hard enough, I will be able to put a dent in it. I don't know why but I just favor my TV blog much more than my Movie blog. It might seem a little evident to ya. I hate not reaching my goals so I will do all in my power to make sure I will be able to get back up to speed on my movie blog.

A lot of things distract me, honestly. For the past 2 days, I have like been obsessed with nerding out on: creating Youtube exercise vids formatted to Google Sheets. Before that I was busy crocheting like a madwoman. Before that I was recreating Bob Ross paintings on a mini canvas and before that I was busy compiling recipes for my homemade cookbook AND BEFORE THAT I was making a tree of life arts and crafts out of wires and gem stones. I just have wayy too many hobbies. And other times my partner pisses me the fuck off and I go through phases of no motivation to do anything. It's so exhausting wanting to do everything all the time. 

Another Streaming Platform Access: Vix Premium

Holy shit, T-Mobile users get Vix premium free for a whole year! Sucky part? I only know broken Spanish and the website/app/menu/navigation is in entirely Spanish with no option to change to English according to Vix support. I checked. 

Update: One Day Later

It turns out that a lot of these titles don't have English subtitles. Forget about dubs. I was soooo looking forward to watching these but some don't even have subtitles needless to say english subtitles! Theses were some of the movies I wanted to watch but as of this posting I am unable to I wanna cry forever. Duolingo better up their game because I'm using that currently to learn more conversational spanish!

Vix doesn't even have a TO WATCH list for later. Closest they got is Continue Watching. Excuse me, it's actually "Seguir Viendo". This app is so weird. 

WHY DO SOME OF THESE HAVE ENGLISH WORDS IN HERE AND ARE NOT AVAILABLE TO AN ENGLISH  SPEAKING AUDIENCE?!?!? Riddle me THAT?!

Well, this only encourages me to continue learning spanish. I'm already a poor excuse of a mexican girl that is not fluent in my mother language. The most I can do is sing "Macarena" and "The Itsy Bitsy Spider". Don't @ me.

If I find English-friendly titles, I'll compile them and either list them here or make a separate post. Dubs will never happen so I won't hold my breath for that.

SO FAR THE ONLY ENGLISH SUBTITLES I CAN FIND FOR VIX ARE:

Okay, this is exhausting but these are the only 4 titles I can find. I'll resume my search later or Google up if anyone can help. 

Update 2: My dumb ass finally figured it out after 30 minutes on a wild goosechase of individually searching up and playing each title to see if English CC was available that I finally figured it out. What the above titles have in common is that it is a VIX ORIGINAL. So I just browsed what horror movies they have in their catalogue until I found a Vix original. I found a few, actually. Very promising ones. So yeah, that will be in my  Horrortized blog's future. Be on the lookout for August. It is none of the pictured above. I'm like sooo behind on catching up with movie posts...

More Shows to Add

A few shows are coming to an end soon so here is what I intend to recap soon. 

Bloodride The only show in this list that I have started recapping. Completed 1 episode so far pending to post in late August. Will recap more. I enjoyed this show when it first came out so hopefully you will too.

Zom 100 trailer on Netflix looks bomb as fuck. Weirdly, the live action AND the anime is premiering at the same time (within weeks of each other). Will check those out to see if I want to add this to the blog. Live action comes out in August (next month).

The Sandman (Netflix) was one of my reasons for starting the blog. I loved the graphic novels and all but the 1st episode is so boooooorring!!! The rest of the episodes are so 🔥 🔥  so I will eventually tackle that 1st episode sometime this month. 

Evil (Paramount+) is another show that has potential and it has 3 seasons.

Chapelwaite (MGM+) I am interested in this one but will be a long wait since my MGM+ trial expired. Will see if Black Friday had a discount. Based on Stephen King's short story.

Shows that are due to be ending soon are: Marianne, Paper Girls (both series finale) and Diablero (season 1). Might take a break before starting 2nd season

Concluded Shows: Hellbound

Hellbound has officially been moved to Concluded Shows. The show will continue to be there when Season 2 releases and upon completion the status may be updated to Series Complete (unless it gets renewed for a 3rd season).

HD Covers

 After looking at Interview with the Vampire's shitty pixelated cover pic, I found a better looking one and will probably go through more shows and replace them of better versions through the next couple of days/weeks.

X and Pearl

 I had a double feature last night and watched X and Pearl on Paramount+. Good movies but I don't think I will write about it. If I run out of time for October 31 Days of Movies then it will be a last resort. I didn't expect to like X but I understand the hype a little bit more. 

The third installment Maxxxine is currently in production to take place after the events of X so I honestly can't wait for that.

HorrortizedTV: From

I accidentally activated a free trial for MGM+ on Amazon Prime Video but blessing in disguise because I needed to finish up the tv show From.

 And holy fuck, ended binging in 2 days and completed all the recaps. Will focus on having a new episode posted on the blog every 2ish weeks. MGM+ renewed From for season 3. But it will take a year give or take for that one to premiere as 2nd season barely concluded in June 2023.

Eh, I don't think I will keep MGM+ after this free trial because the rest of the shows don't strike my fancy but I got a few more days left on the trial so we'll see.
